Case Study: MiMA’s MCA16 Empowers Semiconductor Industry

– In today’s semiconductor industry, sales models are changing to become more diverse. With the growth of smart manufacturing, there is a rising need for unique, small-scale logistics orders. Customers want high standards in delivery, packaging, and shipping times, which is encouraging logistics providers to specialize and meet these demands.

Customer Background

Our client was founded in 2010 and specializes in making semiconductor packaging materials. Recognized as a top “specialized, refined, and innovative” business in the country, it has strong innovation skills and several provincial awards. The company runs multiple production lines and is a leader in the epoxy molding materials market.

Challenges Faced

  1. The client’s warehouse stores valuable semiconductor materials that need strict controls for temperature, humidity, and dust. Traditional storage methods did not meet these needs.
  2. With many different products, traditional forklifts lacked the flexibility for efficient operations, which hurt productivity. Accurate inventory tracking was essential to avoid confusion in stock management.
  3. Because the stored goods are high in value, safety during warehouse operations is very important. Any accidents could lead to major losses, making safety a top priority.

Solution Offered

To address these challenges, we recommended the MiMA MCA16 3-way pallet stacker, designed to meet the rigorous storage needs of high-value semiconductor materials.

  1. Increased Capacity: The MCA16 can lift up to 1600kg with a narrow aisle width of just 1600mm, handling shelf heights up to 6500mm (with a maximum lift of 12000mm). This significantly boosts warehouse capacity by up to 150% and operates efficiently in cold environments (2°C-5°C).
  1. Versatile Operations: Equipped with lateral shift and 180° rotation functions, along with a 1.4-meter custom fork, the MCA16 can handle various pallet sizes. This flexibility optimizes space usage and reduces operational costs.
  1. Enhanced Navigation and Efficiency: Featuring magnetic navigation and a one-button addressing function, the MCA16 allows for easy maneuvering without steering. Users can quickly locate items by entering designated shelf positions, enhancing overall operational efficiency.
  1. Safety Features: The MCA16 provides a high-strength mast for stability, a dual HD camera system for precise monitoring, and an all-wheel electromagnetic braking system for quick responses in emergencies. It also includes height-limit features to prevent accidents, ensuring safe operations.
With the MiMA MCA16, our client has transformed their warehouse capabilities, effectively meeting the demands of the semiconductor industry while ensuring safety and efficiency.
